Complex Web Applications

Complex Web Applications

[vc_row][vc_column width=“1/1″][pt_text]I’m used to manage a project’s schedule, resources and budget also on large scales to ultimately deliver the best possible quality. Examples of highly complex web applications I have helped to conceptualise and have project managed are

– the new web destination of Sony Classical International

– Sony Music Germany, Switzerland and Austria corporate websites

– One.Sonydadc.com, as the main component of the new intranet for Sony DADC and part of their strategy to connect teams from different European locations and different parts of the supply chain.

Challenge: 3 corporate sites, as well as 8 additional labels and 5 divisions should all share the same database. Site content should be distributed dynamically on artist, label and territory level. Content should be ingested automatically from various internal Sony Music systems, as well as one third party integration. A middleware had to be developed for this and a various stake holders, as well as teams in different time zones had to be coordinated.

The project launched successfully in December 2013: http://www.sonymusic.dehttp://www.sonymusic.chhttp://www.sonymusic.at

Example project Sonyclassical.com:

Challenge: Site should consist of a B2C and B2B section. The B2B section should fulfil various needs for Sony Classical such as a tour schedule, e-media kits and a press section. Both are connected to minimise content work (e.g. tour dates should only be ingested once and then distributed over individual artist pages, the corporate tours section, as well as the B2B tour schedule, etc). A main challenge was also the presentation of the vast Sony Classical catalogue, including detailed search functionalities.

The project is not live yet.

Example project One.SonyDADC.com:

Challenge: The main goal of this internal portal site is to connect and provide internal updates to the teams working on separate projects in different locations. Main challenges were an automated email send out to and display on various devices and mobile access – also the project had to be realised in very short time (under 2 months from the first presentations to launch), while complying with the high Sony DADC security standard. It did go live on time and without issues.

As this is an internal portal site, it is only available for Sony DADC employees in the EU.[/pt_text][pt_rules_vertical pt_separator=“separator9″ width=“50″ margin_top=“30″ margin_bottom=“30″ align=“text-center“ css_animation=“fadeInUp“ css_delay=“1.0″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
